Netto Launches Limited Edition Royal Blue Collection

Netto has launced a new Royal Blue furniture collection. The 2-piece collection features a crib ($2750) and a changer/dresser ($2750) and is limited to a run of only 25 pieces. Royal Blue will be sold exclusively at Barneys New York, marking the first time Barneys has carried nursery furniture, and through Netto Collection's website.

Sorry for the lack of posts

We had a major snow storm here and we have had no internet for the past 2 days. Argh! I am doing everything possible to keep up with the site, but it's hard to get out and get to a functioning computer. Maggie Gyllenhaal Helps Fisher-Price Launch Precious Planet Line

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal teamed up today with Fisher-Price to unveil the company’s new Precious Planet Collection of baby gear and newborn toys and to announce the company’s $250,000 donation benefiting the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). The event, held at the Central Park Zoo, launched the adorable Fisher-Price Precious Planet line of must-have baby gear for new parents and their little ones.

Babystyle/Right Start/Tiny Ride update

Babystyle and Tiny Ride are out of business and all Babystyle stores are now shutting down. Most merchandise is gone in stores, but they are having great sales if you live by one. Call first to see if it's open, as many of the stores were told to close within days. The online store is not going back up. If you have gift cards, you'd best get to a store soon or see if the Right Start will honor them. Right now, the Right Start is not closing but that may change next month. No one knows for sure. They are out of stock on 80% of their products online at the moment. If you have a Right Start gift card, I'd recommend you use it now.

Sad day for the baby retail world

If you've been wondering why Babystyle is not working lately, well it's not technical improvements like they say. According to StrolerInfo's blog, Right Start, Babystyle, Tiny Ride are all CLOSING. They posted this blog entry: "As of this morning, Right Start told its corporate employees that they are being laid off. All but the COO, Logistics Manager, Human Resources and IT. All of the area and regional managers are being laid off. The entire Babystyle corporate office, and Blue Lava." Right Start owns both Babystyle and Tiny Ride, saving them from bankruptcy last year. But no more. Right now Right Start's website is about out of stock of everything, and neither Babystyle or Tiny Ride come up. I'll keep you updated on anything else I hear.

Bugaboo has a new online community for parents called “Bugaboo Friends”. The community is described as a place where parents and friends can share stories, tips for traveling (with or without kids), videos and experiences with like-minded people all over the world. You don't have to own to a Bugaboo to join or even a kid!

Pediped to launch couture footwear

Pediped will be launching a Couture Collection for the Fall/Winter 2009 lines. Four styles will start this new line, including Audrey (Black Snakeskin Embossed leather), Jules (Silver Snakeskin Embossed leather), Gabriella (Pink Metallic Snakeskin Embossed leather) and Nadia (Red Crocodile Embossed leather). St. Joseph’s Outreach of Ronkonkoma, NY

The St. Joseph’s Outreach of Ronkonkoma, NY is looking for baby product donations. They are a non-profit (501 c 3) outreach organization that serves about 120 families locally. Each year they have two large community auctions to generate money for the support of their community activities. Actress Alison Sweeney, who reads this website, gave birth to a baby girl last night at 12 minutes to midnight. Megan Hope Sanov, who weighed in at 6 lb.- 7 oz, joins big brother Ben, 3. "Both mommy and baby – and daddy, too – are doing well," says her rep, Carrie Simons. Alison stars as Sami on Days Of Our Lives and hosts the reality show, The Biggest Loser. She continued working as host of The Biggest Loser until the very end. "She's still in hair and makeup from her day on the set!" her rep reports. "It was a very easy delivery, and everybody is great."

Jennifer Blanc Biehn from Dark Angel is also pregnant and was there. She is so SUPER nice! Melissa Jaret Winokur and her son Zev were there. He had a Dwell bib on.
