Finally! The Land Of Nod opens a new store

For many years now, only Seattle and Chicago have been able to enjoy an actual bricks and mortar Land Of Nod store. Well that ends next month. As you can see from the above picture, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA will be getting their very own Land Of Nod store. The shop will open on Level 3 of the Crate & Barrel Wing on Bear Street. The official opening date is May 31.

Halo's new BassiNest - Youtube Video

Brixy posted this video of Halo's new awesome product, the BassiNest. It's a great new type of co-sleeper that swivels a full 360 degrees so parents can get in and out of bed more easily (great for c-sections). The height adjustment works well for different bed sizes and a baby up to 30lbs can sleep safely in the BassiNest. Safety is a big issues with this product, as with all Halo products. The sides are all mesh for easily ventilation and the BassiNest actually sits over the bed and has an easy folding side wall for access to the baby. One of the best features though is the little soothing center that has a nursing timer, night light and soothing sounds for baby. This product will be available in January of 2014.

Britax debuts new B-Agile colors

—Three bright new spring fashions have for the Britax B-Agile. The stroller will now be available in Peacock blue (above), Plum purple and Granite gray in the single version. The peacock color, along with sandstone beige, a popular neutral shade and currently a part of the single stroller line, will be available on the double version.

Kate Middleton buys a Bugaboo

According to the Daily Mail, Kate Middleton has broken the royal tradition of stroller buying. Unlike royal babies past, Kate's child will not be riding in a Silver Cross Pram. Instead the duchess, who is due in two months, purchased the above baby blue and black Bugaboo Cameleon for her unborn baby at John Lewis in London. The all-black Cameleon is sold separately from the fabric hood.

Baby Jogger introduces 2 new strollers

Baby Jogger has released two new strollers, the City Mini 4-Wheel stroller and the City Select Black Frame limited edition stroller. The new 4-Wheel Mini will be sold in addition to the current 3-Wheel one (at least for now). The seat is one inch deeper than the 3-wheeler and new 4-wheel design gives the stroller more stability on sidewalks, roads and even smooth surfaces. The Black Frame City Select will be available in both black and silver seats. It's the same stroller as the current City Select and has all the same features.

Dragons of Walton Street design "royal nursery" for hotel

The Grosvenor House in London has collaborated with Dragons of Walton Street to create a nursery for for royalty. The Daily Mail reports that the Hotel transformed several rooms in one of its Premium Park View suites to Dragons-furnished children's rooms. Staying there won't come cheap. The grand Buckingham package - a three-night stay starting from £6,270 ($9,764) - includes a range of luxurious pampering activities, from a complimentary cut and blow dry at Sanrizz for mothers, a men's shave at Alfred Dunhill for fathers, as well as a private consultation with the Dragons of Walton Street. Dragons is famous for designing all the royal nurseries. Royal babies William, Harry, Beatrice and Eugenie all had Dragons nurseries.

Baby gear company Cybex has released some very cool images from their colorful collaboration with American fashion designer Jeremy Scott. The Pop Art "Food Fight" print features cute food characters, including courageous popcorn pieces tackling an aggressive beef burger and a soda bottle fighting a hotdog. The print will be featured on the Aton car seat, the Callisto stroller, the Onyx stroller, the 2 Go baby carrier, a baby bag and a footmuff and they will all be available starting in June.

Kate Middleton shops for her nursery

The Duchess of Cambridge does not know if she's having a girl or boy, but that didn't stop her from buying nursery items last week. Hello! reported the royal mum stopped in the Blue Almonds store in Walton Street on April 18, where she and her mother purchased a moses basket. She was also seen shopping for a buggy at Peter Jones in Sloane Square on the same day.

Pediped to open first retail store

Pediped shoes is about to will open its first store! The new boutique is located at Town Square in Las Vegas and will open on Friday, May 17th. The new store will encompass 700 square feet, showcasing 140 different styles of pediped shoes for both boys and girls, ranging in ages from newborn to 8-years-old. Patrons may purchase styles from the Spring/Summer 2013 collection when the store opens; the Fall 2013 collection will debut this July. Apple iPads will also be available for quick and easy check-out for parents on the go. Also making its debut at the pediped store: Brian James Footwear, the new line of women’s shoes launched by pediped founder Angela Edgeworth this past spring. The general public is invited to officially celebrate the new store on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pediped will host a fashion show, featuring all of the new summer and fall styles. Maxi Cosi is releasing a new version of their Mico infant car seat, this time with the same Air Protect side impact features that their other seats have. Cybex Aton 2 about to hit US stores

We received word today that Cybex sent the first shipment of Aton 2s to the US and the seats are now being distributed to stores all over the country. With its unique Load Leg and LSP Side Impact Protection, the Aton 2 represents a new generation of infant car seat safety. The Aton 2, a winner of JPMA’s Innovation Award 2012, is designed for babies 4 to 35 pounds and up to 30 inches tall. While there has not been an official release date given, the seats will most likely be available for purchase within the next few weeks.
